June 30: Arrival Day, Amherst College, Amherst, MA

June 30 – July 4: Amherst College

The program is based at Amherst College, located in Amherst, Massachusetts, in the Pioneer Valley. Campus is situated in the heart of Amherst and the town’s walkable downtown area is just steps away from our dorms. On weekdays, explore Amherst and the surrounding area with your seminar groups or on afternoon and evening activities. Take excursions to surrounding towns such as Northampton, Hadley, and Montague.

July 5 & 6: Excursions to White Mountains or Cape Cod

On the first weekend of the program, break into small groups to join your pre-selected excursion to either the White Mountains of New Hampshire or Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Depart Amherst College with your excursion group on the morning of Friday, July 5, and return the afternoon of Sunday, July 7.

July 7 – 12: Amherst College

Return to our campus at Amherst College for daily meetings with your seminar groups, afternoon activities, sports clinics, and more.

July 13 & 14: Day Trips to Boston & New York City

During the second weekend, continue to explore New England. On Saturday, head as a group to Boston. Tour Harvard, MIT, or Boston College. Walk the Freedom Trail, visit the New England Aquarium, explore the Museum of Fine Arts, and grab lunch at Faneuil Hall in downtown Boston. On Sunday, students can choose to visit New York City or explore locally in the Pioneer Valley. On a trip to New York, visit NYU or Columbia, take in the sights and lights of Times Square, or take a stroll in Central Park. Students not joining the New York excursion continue to explore the Pioneer Valley and beyond. Take a trip to Mass MoCA to see the latest exhibit or check out the famed Hadley Flea Market.

July 15 – 18 : Amherst College

Return to campus and meet daily with your seminar groups. Begin to polish your final pieces and presentations. On the final evening of the program, present your work to the entire Pre-College at Amherst College community, reflect on your experience, and say your final farewells.

July 19: Departure Day, Amherst College, Amherst, MA
