After conducting an exhaustive survey of downtown Amherst, we have moved into building design. Students analyzed every building and public space, how they work to form a system and what’s missing. They then pitched businesses or services they felt addressed these concerns, everything from a health club to a pet shop to a food bank. With sites established, plan, section and elevations of their buildings are being designed and drawn.
