Last week in marketing and advertising, we learned about getting to know your customer. At the beginning of the course, we talked about how great products often stem from pain points and problems people experience. But you often don’t know what those problems are until you ask! We got outside of the classroom and did brief interviews with some locals in order to learn more about their habits, interests, pain points, and media usage, among other things. We took this information back to the classroom and created buyer personas that summarized the type of person who would be interested in buying our product, as well as how to make sure our marketing reaches and resonates with them. We’ll be creating buyer personas next week as well as part of our final projects. Stay tuned!
