Last week, the former governor of Vermont, Peter Shumlin, visited us and discussed the steps he took in office to combat the opioid epidemic in Vermont.  After his engaging conversation with us, we decided to spend our final two weeks devoted to further researching and writing about the topic.  Since then, we’ve conducted both individual and collaborative research in order to write editorials on our personal opinions regarding the issue.  When not in the Amherst library, we could be found writing in many scenic coffee shops across the town.  We’ve spent the past few days peer-editing and wrapping up our writing processes.  We are all very excited for you to read what we’ve been working on!
